Statement: Fun Pom Stunning Hon used gummy bears, chewed-up gum, and strawberry Jam to create a contrasting feeling of messiness and desire for my audience. These candies are my metaphor for a woman's body, braided in our life. I melted a gummy bear onto a broken piece of porcelain braided hair. The candy is as tangled as it is holding up the structural integrity of the hairpiece. I want to create this sense of messiness and playfulness while referencing the body. The body is at odds with presenting sweet and vivid while struggling to preserve itself despite the organic material. I employ the domestic object coat hanger to convey the dailiness of the work. 

My creative process stems from investigating the material. While the finished work is almost a stranger to me, I continue to learn how I interact with different mediums.
